This ride is a challenge. After crossing Golden Gate Bridge we’re going to go left up Conzolman to the top of the Headlands. The climb is steep at the beginning, but then eases up after you go round the first corner. It then gets a little steep right at the end. It’s worth it though. The view of San Francisco from the top of the Headlands is spectacular. After the Headlands we’re going to drop down to Fort Cronkhite and Rodeo Beach. The descent is a challenge, with the first mile or so being 20%, but its not as scary as you might think.

Fortunately we don’t have to go back up! After Fort Cronkhite we head out via a tunnel which brings us to the top of Sausalito Hill. The route then takes us out to Tiburon taking the familiar route along the bike paths. We’ll then continue around Paradise to Corte Madera and then home via Camino Alto.
