This weeks ride is similar to the China Camp ride. We head north to San Anselmo where we take a right and then head towards San Rafael where we join San Pedro Rd, taking us round through China Camp. The route differs when we get to other side of China Camp and come under the 101. Instead of taking a left back to San Rafael, we go right, continuing north and coming around the Northgate mall. We then link up with Las Galinas which is the start of the Marin Century (an organized ride that takes place in August).
At the end of Las Galinas we take a left on to Lucas Valley Rd where we have a long flat section before we stop for lunch at the Big Rock Deli. After lunch we have tackle Big Rock hill, this is a long (1.6 miles) climb with lots of switch backs. Fortunately there is then a really long downhill which eventually joins us up with Nicasio Valley Rd. A left here, and a left on Sir Francis Drake brings us to Fairfax and then very familiar route back home.
